Complete Route

Day-by-Day Itinerary

On arrival you are met and transferred to Kotugoda. The day is kept intentionally light, time to rest after the flight and prepare for the active days ahead.

Depart for Sigiriya to begin the cycling portion of the journey. On arrival, meet your cycling guide, arrange your bicycle setup, and if time allows, take a short test ride to ease in.

A morning exploring Sigiriya and its surroundings by bicycle, past the rock fortress area and along village roads and reservoir edges where rural life unfolds at its own pace, with a stop at nearby archaeological landmarks along the way.

Cycle onward from Sigiriya toward Polonnaruwa through quiet countryside, paddy fields, and village landscapes. Continue through the archaeological site before a traditional cooking demonstration and lunch in a local family setting.

Today's cycling route runs from Sigiriya to Naula, past farmland and village scenery that gives the journey its authentic texture. Continue by vehicle to Kandy, visiting the Temple of the Tooth Relic in the evening.

Hike the first stage of the Pekoe Trail, from Hantana to Galaha, a scenic route through tea country landscapes and sweeping highland views. Continue to Nuwara Eliya and settle into the cooler climate of the tea country.

Another day on the Pekoe Trail, this time Stage 22 toward Kandapola, weaving through tea-covered slopes and misty hills before returning to Pedro Estate for a tea factory visit and a fresh cup at the end.

A scenic drive to Horton Plains, where the day's cycling adventure unfolds on a downhill route toward Kalupahana, blending striking scenery with a thrilling edge before continuing to Haputale.

Hike Stage 13 of the Pekoe Trail, from Haputale toward the famed viewpoint of Lipton's Seat. After the views, a short rest, then a drive to Ella to visit Nine Arch Bridge before returning to Haputale.

Today's cycling route descends from the cooler highlands into warmer lowland terrain, through tea country, village roads, waterfalls, and paddy fields, before reaching Wellawaya.

Cycle from Wellawaya toward Kuda Oya through calm rural landscapes, waterways, and greener lowland scenery. Continue by transfer to Galle, where the pace shifts from countryside adventure to coastal heritage.

Rise early for a private whale-watching excursion off Mirissa, one of the signature marine highlights of the south coast. In the afternoon, head to Galle Fort for an atmospheric evening visit and sunset views.

Transfer to the airport, departing with the satisfaction of having explored Sri Lanka through both its landscapes and its living traditions, actively and deeply.
